Challenge
The MRBC Identity and website needed a redesign to improve functionality, simplify content management and to communicate the different ministries and life groups available to the congregation and the greater Maple Ridge community. In addition, many involved with the church were getting frustrated with communication in general and didn’t know how to “fix it”.
Solution
- Update of the current logo: refining the typography and the illustration.
- Design very visible navigation for the church ministries
- Develop a call-to-action encouraging visitors to volunteer and donate on-line.
- Build the site on the wordpress CMS platform for improved content management
- Establish a visual identity for website imagery and build a portfolio of photographic brand images.
- Update and improve MRBC Facebook and Social Media profiles and communications.
To address the communications problem, KADENZ built and sent out surveys to external stakeholders, the congregation and church employees, management and admin staff and conducted interviews to gauge current strengths and weaknesses. The results of the surveys and the interviews were included in a report complete with recommendations, methodologies, tools and resources to improve collaboration and communication both internally and externally.
Results
The website has been embraced by staff and the congregation – everyone involved is very proud of the new look and feel of their church brand and on-line donations are up more than 50%. Collaboration and communication is improving and with the report, management has access to resources for further discussion and improvement.
